Lehigh Technologies Adds Tire Industry Veteran to Senior Management Team
Former Continental Tire Executive Donald Botka Brings Technical, Sales and Management Experience


NAPLES, FL - September 7, 2006 - Lehigh Technologies LLC., a leading manufacturer of engineered rubber powder, announced today that it has strengthened its senior management team with the addition of Donald Botka, who joins as Vice President, Technology and Strategic Initiatives. A veteran in the tire and automotive industry, Botka brings more than 35 years of deep industry experience to Lehigh, helping to position the company as the leading alternative to highly priced natural rubber and petroleum-derived synthetics. Botka's extensive experience using recycled rubber powders in the formulation and production of new tires will help grow Lehigh's market share among industrial products and tire manufacturers and extend Lehigh's position as the leading supplier of engineered rubber powder.

Prior to joining Lehigh Technologies, Botka was a Division Vice President at Maritz Inc. His responsibility involved strategic marketing and sales activities with Ford Motor Company and their associate brands, Jaguar, Land Rover and Volvo. He also spent more than 27 years in the tire industry and was a senior executive at Continental Tire, serving in a variety of technical, sales and general management roles. During this time, Botka saw first hand the escalating raw material costs facing the tire industry and became aware of how engineered powders can open new technical doors to reduce cost and enhance performance.

Botka received his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Tri-State University in Angola, Indiana. He attended the Darden Graduate School of Business Administration at the University of Virginia. Botka has also done extensive training at the Center for Creative Leadership (CCL) in Greensboro, NC and participated in the Awareness Program for Executive Excellance for four years. He is also a 20-year member of the Society of Automotive Engineering (SAE).
