Closed-Loop

Closed Loop…Make it Part of Your Zero Waste Program.

Zero waste programs have become an important part of a company’s environmental objectives. Up until recently, however, these programs mostly focused on lower value recycling opportunities, such as packaging. Now, companies can reuse their excess manufactured rubber material to eliminate useable waste from ending up in the landfill.

Here’s how Lehigh’s Closed-Loop process works:

  • Step 1. Contact Lehigh Technologies to discuss your Closed-Loop requirements (look for your industry in the Contact Section)
  • Step 2. Send your post manufactured rubber to our Tucker, GA facility
  • Step 3. Lehigh processes your company’s rubber into a micronized rubber powder
  • Step 4. Lehigh sends this ‘zero waste rubber powder’  back to your company’s specified manufacturing location where it is incorporated back into new products

Lehigh is able to process various types of rubber, including natural, nitrile and butyl rubber.

The benefits of participating in Lehigh’s Closed-Loop services include avoiding landfill/disposal costs and saving money since micronized rubber is less expensive than the virgin material it is replacing. And, of course, it is green, helping you recycle your rubber material that eliminates waste from entering the landfill.

Why use Lehigh’s Closed-Loop services?

  • Optimum particle size for high loading
  • Consistent high quality and yield
  • Excellent supply chain and logistics support
  • Largest capacity in the market
